Letter to Barack Obama (class assignment)

Dear President Barack Obama:

I am Elizabeth Sandoval from ********* middle school. I am in the *th grade and doing well on all my classes. I am writing this letter to you to congradulate you from winning the presidency. There was a school election at my school and about 375 people voted for you while only 7 people voted for McCain! Oh and also I want to wish you good luck on your presidency and good luck on finding that new dog.

There are some subjects I would like you could study them closely and if you can, also change them. The most important thing you should take a look at is immigration to the United States. If you have already noticed Mexico has many "narcotraficos", kidnappings, assults, well in other words, many crimes. Hispanic immigrate here to scape all that! Some people come scaping from crimes like the piligrims did in the 1600s! But what happens to immigrates now? The kids are separated from their families, families lose all they have reseaved in this nation, even people who are about to be deported back to their countries have to wear a bracelet on their right foot like animals! That is horrible sir! That totally needs to change! It doesn't look humanly! We are created equal and we are supposed to love each other as siblings and family.

Other subject you should also take a look at is the DREAM Act. I have heard of the Dream Act is for people who graduate form highschool and want to go to the University. Once this bill is approved as law, the graduates which are immigrants, can get permanty residency if they got here when they were children , were in the USA for a mininum of 6 years, and have good grades and are good at school. I am in Duke Tip this year. The DREAM has to become a law! People like that can change the owrld should be granted such permission! I think that's the right thing to do.

President, I've heard on the past year that the United States have helped many other countries in wars. Even those wars that take place millions of miles awway from this country! But, what I have not seen in theUS helping its neighboors Canada and Mexico. There was a time, I think , in late August 2008 that in a month, in Monterrey they stold 70 banks. You know sir, if your neighbor's house there is a chance that your house can catch on fire too! If we don't stop the crime in Mexico, this could cause the US more crimes. Why? Because Mexico is very close and there is a very short distance to get here from there. This could even cause another 911!

Have you heard of the quote that says: "You reseive what you give and you give what you resieve." If we keep on fighting in Iraq for no reazon there is a cahnce we will reseive what we give. During your presidency I wish you could be smart and make up good ideas for this never to happen. I wouldn't really like this to happen. Why? Beucase we have never experienced bombs of wars in other than Pearl Harbor. This country has not been under attack lately. Imagine everyday bombings?!

PS. To my opinion the black doggie (poodle I think) is the perfect on I've had one of those types of dogs before. Her name was Hair Ball. She was very nice to me. Well GOOD LUCK!

Sincerely, yours truly:

Elizabeth Sandoval

Come with me to the beach

See the colorful waves that are as blue as the sky,
splashing on the round rocks,
that are as round as basket balls;
the kids running as fast as rabbits,
with their colorful multicolor swimming suits;
a big umbrella as big as a tuba,
sitting on the golden looking salty sand;
people smiling with huge smiles,
that look as long as the river Niles

Hear the man yelling as loud as an air horn,
stretching his arms to sell brand new cell phones;
kids laughing as loud as out off tone violins,
all carrying a red bucket of golden sand,
that sounds like maracas,
with beans bouncing inside,
making a cha cha cha noise;
a foreign man sneezing with a running nose,
sounds like a trumpet with a pebble on its throat;

Feel the gentle cool breeze,
that you can experience when you open the fridge;
the warm pebbled sand,
that burns as a baked potato when you leave it in your hand;
feel the sun rays toughing you as hot as the microwave rays,
the wet cream in your hands that feels like wet soft mud,
that protects you from getting burned,
feel the warm water splashing through your face and legs,
that feels like a blender tossing you from side to side;

Smell the humidity rising through the air,
that smells like a perfume of mint,
the hot corn on a stick as juicy as a lemon,
being sold by a poor man with dirty smelly clothes,
that smell like rotten onions;
smell the sandwiches being passed around,
smelling like fresh cool peanut butter and jelly,
Smell the warm cool breeze,
that only makes the foreign man sneeze;
but do not try to smell under the water,
it just smells like a pebble,
as big as an acorn,
being stuck on your nose!

Taste the bitter golden shiny and salty sand,
which in fact tastes like salty sweat;
taste the happiness and joy,
that surrounds the miles and miles of beach;
taste a sudden surprise that you may get,
when a wave crashes on your way,
mostly if the wave is as large as a mammoth;
